The most affected groups of children are orphans, street children, those underprivileged [those whose parents suffer extreme poverty], and victims of child abuse practices such as early marriages. These categories of the young generation of Kenyans spend their useful educational years in agricultural fields doing manual labor, fishing, hawking in the streets or fall victims of sexual abuses. Worst of all the cases are those who have joined the commercial sex industry, crime and drug abuse to make ends meet. If this trend is left to continue unabated, the country is at risk of losing its identity as the hub of innovation, technology and quality education in the region. At present, the future of this nation is at ruins with over 50% of the population which consist of the minors staring the gates of extinction in their capacity to produce and keep growing the country’s economy.

What we do at the Mighty Children Centre

Mighty Children Centre is guided with the following key objectives in its service to the society:

  • To positively transform, empower and raise the living standards of the vulnerable, orphaned, and underprivileged children in our society through education giving them hope.
  • To provide holistic education to the less fortunate children in the society by encouraging God fearfulness and perpetual divine commitments.
  • To empower economically and knowledge-wise, our vulnerable, orphaned and underprivileged children so as to attain self-reliance. This will positively nurture the children with a view of identifying and tapping their potentials through putting them to vocational training facilities and training them on valuable skills of trade.
  • To inculcate a culture of responsibility, accountability and transparency among less fortunate children in the society by putting them under controlled environment and teaching them good values with appropriate levels of compliance.
